Journal of Animal Ecology is published on behalf of the British Ecological Society

Supporting long-term ecological research in a changing world, Journal of Animal Ecology publishes the best original research on all the broad aspects of animal ecology, including:
-- Ecosystem Ecology
-- Evolutionary Ecology
-- Community Ecology
-- Population Ecology
-- Physiological Ecology

Field, laboratory and theoretical studies based upon terrestrial, freshwater or marine systems are all considered for publication. The editors specifically seek papers that are novel, interesting and make general contributions to the broad field of animal ecology and ecologists. Papers using molecular approaches to address the central ecological pattern/process are also published.
